Heyy
I used my savings to pay off my debt! which is great my loan finishes in June so after that I am debt free and then planning on putting as much as possible towards my savings to get them back to where I want them to be.
However last week i was involved in an accident and have to pay £310 excess and my MOT was due which I had the money for! and now I have a dent of £310.
I thought things would get better going forward but its just seems to be getting worse
I have sorted out clothes to sell on ebay which I will put on tonight!
I see all the great advice that is posted on here and I am in a good position whereby I do not have any credit cards but I am thinking I wish i had my credit card to pay off my excess... I suppose it will get better! but its hard to see light at the end of the tunnel when things just keep popping up!
Sorry for rambling on but I hate having to deal with money

pcd87, I think we all feel a little like this sometimes. One thing after another but these things do happen and now you are debt free you can use any extra to save and put towards an emergency fund to cover eventualities like this. It's one of the things im really looking forward too when im finally debt free, having a little cushion so when things come up I don't have to panic about where the money will come from. The only advice I can give you is to keep moving forward, you're doing the right thing selling on ebay, do you have a budgeted amount each month now you're debt frree that you put towards savings?
I really do know how you feel whilst I'm not debt free just before christmas my cat was run over and he flew through his insurance and my emergency fund and ended up costing £7k, £1.5 of which I had to find, then i dropped something in my sink and smashed it £250 xs as sink was £900 to replace and then my car needed two new tyres approx £300, all just before christmas it felt never ending but sometimes the only thing you can do is keep moving forward! good luck1 debt vs 100 days part 6-11total paid £8,135.86 Final Debt [STRIKE]6,948.61[/STRIKE] £3,174.940 -
Thank you! just seems to be one thing after another!! but yeah i have a standing order set up but had to push it back a month due to the car!
I also have a spending app and keeping a note of it manually! so i write everything down and put it on my app at night!! i just think finally i can move forward then i take a step back! but all credit cards are cancelled so just 2 more loan payments then I can breathe a bit easier!
I am also reading through this website and taking on board everyones advice to make money saving tips as its unbelievable how easy it is to waste money!0
