Hi
My best friend is getting married and I'm so happy for her. She has been widowed for 15 years and has brought her ds up single handed and done an excellent job. My friend owns a lovely house and so does her fianc!, so between them they have everything they need iykwim. I was just wondering if anyone might have any ideas as to a wedding gift. I know they are selling both houses and buying one together so it's hard thinking of things because they will then have 2 lots of most things. I am on a budget as always lol but want the gift to be nice more than anything. I think £20 is the maximum really. Thanks in advance for any ideas x

Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.
No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.

For my brother in laws wedding we bought them a personalised honeymoon photo album, maybe something like that could be a possibility.
Have a look at http://www.notonthehighstreet.com/weddings/attending-a-wedding/wedding-gifts they have some lovely slightly different gifts (IMO!)Expecting Baby No 1 - 20/06/14 - Team Yellow!0 -
How about a name plaque for the new house with her new surname?:j I love bargains:jI love MSE0

The plaque is a lovely idea.
Are you crafty - could you make them a cross-stitch wedding sampler for the new place with their new name and wedding date? There's lots of patterns on Pinterest and craft sites.

I agree with the plaque, it's a lovely idea. eBay have quite a few sellers with various different ones, ranging in price from about £6+.
How about an invite to yours for a meal, if you are the cooking type of person and have the space? If you don't have the space, could always offer to cook for them at theirs one night? I'd much rather spend time with friends than receive gifts. It would be something for you all to look forward to after the wedding as well.MFW 2016 #32 £1574.66/£1500:j:j0
