Survey booked- good sign?

I applied to port my mortgage 11 days ago and today got a text to say a survey was booked for tomorrow. Is this a sign that a mortgage offer is likely, subject to survey, or do they just get booked in anyway before it's got to the underwriter?

Most routine applications only go to the underwriter when all the required information is received, including the valuation report.
However, they don't usually instruct a valuer if the application is a complete no hoper
So you've probably passed their credit checks and they are now gathering the rest of the information needed before the application is passed to the underwriter for approvalEarly retired - 18th December 2014
