Another repossession nightmare

Hi all

I wonder if anyone can give me any advice? I'm a teacher and I suffer from Lupus. In Oct 05 I left my job for a better one as Head of Art in a special school. The head was desperate for someone so he asked me to start straight away. As I've never had to have a medical for teaching in the past, I thought it'd be ok. I took the job and 3 months later had a medical and was immediately suspended and later sacked. I was escorted off the premises by the deputy head, even though there were no kids in that day! Their reasoning was that I am more at risk of serious injury than others because of my condition and medication. My union said they couldn't do this and I'd definitely got a case and would win!

They also told me I'm not gonna be allowed to teach anymore and I will always have to declare about my sacking on medical grounds at ANY job interviews in the future

After 3 months the union said 'oh sorry, we can't help, you have no case' and dropped me. I later took legal advice and was told I did have a case but that the time limit for employment law is 3 months. So the union let me down and no-one was willing to help me

I'm now on high dose anti depressants and my condition has worsened so I can't work at all at the moment. I'm receiving incapacity benefit and income support

My mortgage company refused to help me even when my dad offered to give me the money to pay off the arrears. I asked them for an extra month or two in which to try to sell but they said no. I've since been to court and the repossession was ordered for the end of May. The judge was so lovely and sympathetic and told me if I got an offer the mortgage company could stop the repossession but they have refused and say they'll only stop it if contracts have been exchanged. I've got no hope of this happening in the 2 weeks I have left so it looks like my options are, a) sell to one of those places that completes within a couple of days but I'll still be left with a
£15-20k shortfall, or, b) let them repossess and I'll still almost definitely end up owing them several thousand pounds

I've also got about £14,000 worth of other debts, 3 CCJs and I've been seeing a debt counsellor who has written to all my creditors with token offers and ALL but one of them has refused to accept my offers. I know I'm stuffed either way but I don't know what to do. I'm trying to find somewhere to rent and my dad (God bless him) is gonna give me 6 months rent in advance but I'm still having trouble trying to find somewhere to live. I keep getting turned down on the grounds that I have no income, even with the 6 months rent in advance

I've been told by an estate agent that they've got a cash buyer who's willing to pay £95,000 which is more than 20k below the value but will just about clear the mortgage. I'm thinking maybe I should go for bankruptcy but I don't know if that's the right decision. I don't know ANYTHING!
I'd be grateful for any help
