Missed call and call doesn't connect?

Had a missed call from 01604451043, tried to call it back but doesn't connect.
Have googled the number and a couple of people have said the same thing but no answer to who it is.
I saw the number and got excited thinking it may be a comp win but can't call back.

Anybody else had any calls from this number?
Can only be from a comp as only a few people have my mobile number.

Looks very similar to some spam calls I get. Number wise. Sometimes you enter a dodgy comp or miss a tick box and get these calls.

If you had won something a message would have been left I think!

I know a few times I have missed the tick boxes so that could well be it.

I too thought if it was a win they would have left a message.

Oh well, back to comping lol. Good luck

This number is the Open University.

I registered an interest in one of their courses a few months ago and they've called a few times to follow that up.

Well it is and isn't the OU. I have also had calls from these people -- many many calls -- that I have missed. They give out OU's 0845 number (for course registration) for you to call back. Their own number does not connect. I spoke to OU and with great difficulty established that my name and number are not on their list (at least not at the number I was calling) and the operator thought I had been called by a "3rd party" that they use. She said she would try to get the calls to stop. So by making just one online enquiry, it seems i have accidentally given permission for my details to go to some marketing agency. Humph.:(
