6 years after bankruptcy

It’s been 6 years and a month since I was declared abankrupt.
I was very pleased to log on to my credit ref. Noodle account this morning and find out that bankruptcy had been deleted………but my credit score is still 1 out of 5 even though I haven’t had any defaults in the last 6 years and I have an excellent credit history.
Any advice …..Would it change?

Firstly the Noddle score is meaningless. Just a crude estimate of what THEY think a lender would make of your report.
Regardless of that, after my BR dropped off it went gradually from 1/5 to 4/5 over several months.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Have you any credit? I have spent the last 6 years building my credit back up to improve my score. Bankruptcy is off my file in the summer but my credit score is pretty good. Noddle says 3 out of 5 for me at present.0

One thing with noddle (callcredit) is that many lenders do NOT use them. I have 9 or 10 credit accounts with experian (credit expert) and equifax but only 3 showing on noddle, one of which is my current account which doesn't show elsewhere. I too have a 1/5 with noddle and 999/1000 with Credit Expert. Obviously, they BOTH think they are correct!0

You could take a look at Experian or Equifax. They normally do a free 30 day report but just cancel it before the 30 days are up otherwise you will be charged (I think £14.99).
If this is still poor it may be worth trying to get a credit card and just use it every so often and pay it off i.e do your food shop on it. I have done this so that it shows I am a good and responsible customer thus improving my credit report.0
