The £250 that the original poster mentioned indicated to me that they were likely existing borrower/ not moving
at said I could be wrong as there is a Price range with a £250 val fee

Yes, we were existing customers - not a house move.
Feel a bit cheated to have been charged £250 admin on the 'Feesaver', afterall, how much can it reasonably cost A&L to move existing customer details from one form to another?

I do not think you are stupid, anything but. It's just as in all walks of life, don't assume anything ! Read the small print and then read it again just for good measure.
