Has anyone been today? Is it any good?
Goal: Win a car (or cash to buy one :))! -- Haha goal from when I was a student. Never actually won this but got a good job instead.

    What I achieved:
    Car paid in full straightaway.
    Two properties fully paid. Wohhoooo!

So there's 2 in Sheffield, 3 in Glasgow and 2 in Dublin and hardly any down south.

eg none where I am which would be Kingston-on-Thames, Wimbledon, (both near work) and Croydon or Bromley.

Slightly annoyed they couldn't do many down south.

I agree there's not a very good geographical spread but the 3 Glasgow stores are far apart, you'd need to catch several buses or drive to be able to get to them, 2 are in retail parks and the other in the city centre

AND?! what is your point exactly?? the only one I can see down south is in London, central London. I used to work there years ago but not now.

I've been in to the Leeds Albion St store today, they were giving out samples of Aussie Shampoo & conditioner (250ml so a good size!) and samples of St Tropez gradual tan moisturiser (50ml) all of the premium brands seem to be doing makeovers etc and theres a few people walking around with leaflets. Oh and theres a man when you walk in giving people Berrocca (sp?) samples to drink whilst you walk round. The samples aren't that easy to find so have a good look round the store, they're on tables with someone stood next to them usually.

    Hope this helps someone :)

At meadowhall they were giving goody bags out containing 300ml Aussie shampoo, 250ml Aussie conditioner, 17 nail polish, 17 lipstick, boots derma care moisturiser 50ml, oral-b toothpaste 15ml, tester vail of just cavalli perfume, then there was a lady giving out st tropez gradual tan 50ml, there was a lot make overs going on and at the benefit counter they were giving slips that said come back between 3-7 for a make over/demo and receive a glass of champagne and a 7 day supply of foundation, I'm under the impression that other departments were doing the same throughout the day aswell

i could cry. Maybe they think Glasgow/Sheffield/Dublin girls either need to care more about their looks  or they don't spend as much in Boots as us soft Southerners with our deep pockets! :)

The one in Nottingham was rubbish compared to Leeds and Meadowhall by the looks of things.

No goody bags, yes they were doing makeovers but you can get them anytime. No champagne, no St Tropez freebies. They had various tables dotted round the store, offering demos on the 2-week manicure, false eyelashes, contact lenses.

They also had a lucky dip and the only "freebie" they were doing is if you already bought something and had a till receipt to prove it . Then you could choose between the lucky dip (last season's lippies and nail colours) or a bottle of Aussie shampoo or conditioner.

    I won't be going again.
