Managing own DMP query

Hi, following a LBM over a year ago I've been going through the process of setting up an IVA. It was hindered by various problems including having to move twice in a year and having bad tenants etc. Now I'm in a position to go ahead I'm having second thoughts about the amount of money I will be giving to the IVA company rather than my creditors. I've been successfully putting £200 aside each month and haven't gone into any further debt since the LBM so I would really love to manage it myself and actually clear the debt.
I've been reading a lot of forum posts (when I should be sleeping usually!) and have a quick query about paying creditors fairly. I have a couple of debts that I could now afford to clear but if I do this would I be in danger of not treating my creditors fairly? I can see lots of posts where people have talked about aiming towards clearing a particular debt but don't want to end up being taken to court by my biggest creditor because I didn't play by the rules!
Hope this makes sense. Thinking about starting a debt-free diary if I go down the DMP route so will post more details, SOA etc in due course.
Thanks
Sarah
PS Total debt at the moment - £31,997.32 (not including money owed to family)
Debt 1 - 22989.84; D2 - 6165.54; D3 - 2287.53; Debt 4 - 390.85; Debt 5 - 163.56
