criteria for 17 month interest free credit card
Options
I am considering applying for the above to pay for replacement windows which I need. I currently have 3 cards. One is in regular use (but paid off each month) and the others are empty spares. I took one of them out last August for 6 months interest free to pay off my new kitchen and paid no interest on it. I am wondering whether it would be better to cancel one of my 2 spare ones before applying for an interest free one. Or would banks just look at my clean payment record so I wouldn't matter that I had the two spare cards?
My credit record is very good.

What are the total limits in comparison to your income? The limits are more important than the number of cards.0

A total of just under 10K (approx 30% of my income). The one which I use regularly is 5K but i go nowhere near that figure in reality.0 -
You probably wouldn't be rejected on a total limits basis then. But it would do no harm to close one down anyway. Always useful to have at least two cards though (one as a back up).
If you did get a fourth, I would defintely then close one of them.0
