Prawns would you eat them?

they went out of date yesterday are they ok to eat?

Comments

  • Why not?
If you are really concerned what about cooking them just to make sure? Chilli prawns are lovely and only require chopped onions, garlic, tinned tomatoes and chilli. Yummy with rice.

    Yes, I would. Without hesitation.

"Use by" dates are conservative, because they are calculated by lawyers not cooks. Things will not grow a fur coat at the stroke of midnight on some arbitrary date.

Yes, the good old MSE OS 'sniff test'.

    1. Open the packet.
    2. Sniff the contents.
    3. If you don't pass out, use them.
    4. If you do pass out, throw them away when you come round.
