Can't access one of my yahoo mail accounts

It locked me out yesterday, then to get back on it keeps asking for my fave uncles name, I only have 2 uncles and have tried both of them and didn't work, managed to change the password using another account and got back in, logged out to check other account, then tried logging back on and it's asking again for my fave uncles name, can anyone help please x

I had this before too RatGirl it was asking me a question that had no relevance to me. I only have one yahoo account and it was very annoying. I can't remember how I managed to get back in but even now when my DH logs me out to check his account it goes through a security check to log me back in. I think it's because we're both using the same iPad and both on yahoo but separate accounts.
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!

Finally sorted it must have spent 4/5 hours sorting this, but now have access again and security questions I can actually answer x
  • My yahoo account was hacked a week ago, I was very fortunate that they used it to send spam rather than access details, and with that they didnt change the password. I don't use my yahoo got buying things. Have no idea how they did it though as the password was something completely irrelevant to any info available about me online and is changed quite often, and I'm always so careful on what e-mails I open, and never click on links. It was someone in Romania. Check your log-in activity and make sure no one has been accessing your account as I had to answer security questions to get in after this happened as Yahoo recognised them as ' unusual activity'. Hope your problems are fully resolved.

Thanks, my account wasn't hacked, yahoo asked me to change my password, so I did then they wanted me to answer security questions that I had no idea about, but should have sorted it now, no unusual account activity have just checked, now have a new password and security questions I can answer!
