Help I'm getting spammed by egg

I keep getting several text messages a day telling me to ring egg urgently, and I have done for the past month.
Problem is that they're for the guy who used to have my phone. I have no contact details for this guy.
It's thoroughly annoying and Egg refuse to do anything about it, they say I'll have to wait until the account holder cheanges the details himself.
Arrghhh.
Anybody else had this problem?
Is there anything I can do about it?

write to Egg and ask them to stop phoning you. If they persist send a copy of your letter with a covering one to the Office for Fair Trading. This seems like a breach of their guidelines for debt collection. Have a look at their website for advice0

also contact the provider of your phone and tell them you are recieving nuscence phone calls0
