Post Bankruptcy Visa Electron Cards!

So I have my lovely Visa Electron card. I posted a while back asking where/when it was not accepted. I have now had my card refused twice online:rolleyes:
Vertbaudet (had some wicked codes to use:mad: )
Purpleparking (cheap airport parking-beat others by £10 on 5 day parking:mad: )

So that is quite annoying.

Thats a shame... Did you put simply visa in the drop down box, sometimes that will work for you.

Only other option is the pre paid mastercards really I guess.

I tried plain Visa! Worked for me once, but not with these 2! Not the end of the world.
And really not really very important when you think of little Maddie. I should get some perspective.

Hi Savage, luckily I've only had my Electron card refused online once so far (and I cant even remember where so it couldn't have been too important). I had a bit of a panic yesterday with Ticketmaster but they thankfully took the Electron card when I selected the Visa option. So guess who's going to see Prince on his opening night? :D

The only places we've had problems with electron online is Tescos, National Rail and Travel Lodges. In person the only place we haven't been able to use it is at the train station. Other than that never had a problem.

I was told, last week, by a customer service advisor for my mobile phone provider, that Visa Electron is being 'phased out'.
Has anyone else heard this, or was she just trying to scare me?

OMG!! I certainly hope not, I had 'survived' on a cash card machine only for a year before going BR and I love the freedom the the Electron card has given me.

Nothing about phasing it out on the Visa website.

No infact, they have been discussing the new style logo for the cards, and I am sure they would not bother if it was on it's way out.
