Need to make £100 quickly!

I felt so proud of clearing my Halifax OD last month, however just logged on now, just to check! And £95 of charges has been taken! I need to make roughly £100 as soon as possible to get this away so I dont get charged anymore! Any ideas? Im on ebaying/gumtree/swagbucks. Going through all my belongings! Ahh! x

can you not speak to the bank and see if they will refund the charges for you, sometimes this works

Agree with this. If you've a proven record of paying in money to repay the overdraft, I'm sure they might be able to help.

Halifax once refunded me £300 in charges when I set up my own repayment plan with them, so it's worth ringing them up.

I agree I had £48 refunded on Thursday. Worth a shot, especially if you haven't had a refund in the last 6 months

  • Ulster Bank refunded me £246 worth of charges last year because well it was their fault but its worth a try.

  • I think the key is to say you are in difficulty with debt and cannot afford to meet your living costs, they then have a policy to support you and sometimes cancel charges that would apply if you were not in this situation. :-)

£95? What was that for? Seems huge unless it also includes interest.
