Hi all,

I have a court hearing next week but the solicitor I have found for my legal aid are asking more time to assess my file on income related since I have just claimed for Job Seeker Allowance but have not received the decision from JobCentre yet.

I am a defendant that have a counterclaim but I do not have the fund for the court fee : as normally people on JSA does not have to pay for the Court Issued Claim I would like to know if I can ask the court to postpone their hearing until I have received the decision JobCentre?

Thanks in advance for your help,

James224

Ps : I was on JSA three months ago, and have just applied to it (unfortunately) again two weeks ago (and still waiting for the response)
