  • I have been chasing for the loan agreement to be sent for over a year. They have not produced the documents and I have had a solicitor friend say its because its in his name and also to be aware of possible charges coming to me. I have just read the charges thread. I think the best thing is to call the loan co or email giving the ex's details. Requesting that they should chase him for payment asking at the same time what position does this leave me in too?
Would you agree this I'd the best course of action?

Yes - it's his personal loan, so it is nothing to do with you and not for you to pay.

The worst they could do is apply to the court for a charging order, which as the thread I posted earlier says, should be declined due to the property being in joint ownership.
