Just a quick question.

Once discharged does your BR appear anywhere apart from your credit record? Ive searched the London Gazzette but we wasn't Declared in London so no record found?

Gazette details all BR records, throughout the country.

I have found difficulties searching the Gazette, but records are there, to be found.

Where you were made BR has got nothing to do with it, you WILL be on there.

If it was in Scotland, it would be in the Edinburgh Gazette.

The requirement to place a notice in the Edinburgh gazette for bankruptcies in Scotland was withdrawn in November 2010 - not sure where OP lives, but if Scotland, and sequestrated after that date, it may not have appeared in the gazette.

If a property was involved, there may be a bankruptcy restriction registered with the Land Registry.

Agree that searching the London Gazette archives can be a bit of a pain! But if you were made bankrupt in England/Wales, it should be there.

Also, if you had a Bankruptcy Restriction Order (BRO), it stays on the insolvency register for whatever period of time the court stipulates I think.

:rotfl: That made me giggle for some reason.

I'm only an honorary Scottisher though, as I only moved here in June. For the weather, obviously...
