A quick question RE Bumping of a thread
On-A-Rainbow
I keep notice a certain comp thread being bumped by the same person.
Which would make sense if it was a new post bumping it. Now when i click into the thread the 'bump post' has just been done but I swear (I know) it has been bumped the previous day but that 'bump post' isn't there.
Not very good at explaining sorry.
Can you delete posts in a thread? Therefore able to repost a new bump, if you get what I mean.
Very pointless post but I'm sure I'm not going mad just yet

Hi,it is possible to delete any post, except the lead post.
Usually when that's done the bump is reversed & it returns to where it was, unless another comment follows the bump IYSWIM.
Do the bumps serve any purpose?0 -
Think I know what one you're talking about, I've spotted the same thing. And no, they aren't really serving a purpose if it is the one I'm thinking of.:j0
-
Not really.
The bump only contains info that is already in the main post.
ETA thank you for clarifying that you can delete posts, I'm not going mad

Is the person who keeps bumping also the original poster?0

Thanks, just wondered as it sounded like it could be a self-promotion attempt (seem to be lots about at the moment)0

That's why I am add the please don't bump the posts to anyone & everyone now who bumps needlessly.
If it is dodgy they can't repeat it again on the same thread
Plus it's driving me dizzy lolThis Post Has Been Sponsored ByChocolate0 -
It's happened again, and from the three posts they've made I'm wondering if they're someone to do with the company?

Almost certainly as the one post when they joined last year was a discount code for the same company.0 -
Different poster but I bet this is yet more self promotion as they have posted almost the same thing 4 times across the board (surprised they have the time to post asIt's really fun, I'm addicted!
