Back again, the overtime in my current job is very hit and miss, 1year I could have the opportunity to do loads and then the next none at all, that's just the nature of the job. My O.R has taken my annual salary plus the average for the overtime for the last year is this correct? Thanks

It's correct if it is a true reflection of your current income, yes.
How does it compare to the average of your last 3 months wage slips?

Hi,
I'm in the same boat. My base salary is £1398 (monthly or £322.61 weekly). My work has provided me with a lot of overtime this year. I did the average on my wage slip this week.
week 49 was gross £26289
tax £3720
NI £2297
Net = £20272 for 49 weeks
average for month so far is £20272 / 49 * 52 / 12 = £1793
base salary = £1398
average overtime = £395
I assume I need to put £1793 on the SOA form. My problem is I know my overtime will be reduced by 75% from April 2013. for 2 reasons:
1. I want to work less overtime and spend more time with family.
2. I did a lot of sick / holiday cover - this has be resolved at work i.e. 2 poor attendance workers have been replaced and solution put in place to reduce overtime.
I counted I did 21 extra days over past 6 months. This will reduce to more like 3 or 4 at most. Will this cause any problems with OR or just explain at end of form?
Thank you for so much help.0 -
My problem is I know my overtime will be reduced
With regards to income and IPAs, the income figures are not set-in-stone.
If income falls, notify the OR within 21 days....especially if overtime has dropped away.
On the last page is your opportunity to put you specific, unique circumstances.
Just make sure the information is referenced on the original page, so it is easy to follow? No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0
