savvy......your wonderful logic defies me, as it should! I hope you have a very happy Easter whatever you decide to do :A
You know, I haVE never noticed it before, until on here, but I have never seen easter to be anything, do people treat it like Christmas, to me it is nothing different, if you know ehat I mean, just a few days off, not a special time like Christmas. I see the lovely trees that people have made, and really think I am missing out, hmmmm.

Exactly, it only needs to be done when you think it needs to be done (IYSWIM) :)

Not necessarily. It could become a health hazard to others - I'm talking about other situations such as that guy on Channel 4 tv once (or maybe more!) whose back garden was so bad the council went through legal action. Mine is nowhere near that - (a) my garden is fine, albeit useless in this blooming cold weather! and (b) it's a few things to tidy up and sort out - I bought some folders to sort paperwork away, earlier in the week, so I've already been doing things and making a start - all at my own, stress-less, pace.

I must admit I prefer the dark nights (I seem to be more awake then, sometimes, as well!). But equally I agree there's more ability to do stuff. What has been a thought though is the current cold weather. I just wish it would get warm sometime - and be able to do a lot more. (It's like university assignments, in the past gone by, having to be done in December. Would get more done if it wasn't so cold and if I could spend time, in the warmth, getting things done.)

my prediction....we are going to have a bit more cold weather and then we will have a bad may followed by an excellent summer. That might be wishful thinking but I hope it's right :j

Thank you - and good wishes to you as well.
I don't, I guess, really get why it defies you. (It seems completely logical and obvious to me.)

To be fair (to the weather, that does not deserve my fairness!) I think I caught the sun today and was a little red from it!)

Im not particularly religious. but I was brought up religiously. It comes and goes for me. Funny thing is Ive never steered my kids one way or the other. But my DD is religious, goes to church and believes in all the religious stuff.....so I go with that :)

Just thinking about this earlier this morning. They say the jet stream is so far south that, together with high pressure north-eastwards, it's bringing us cold weather. Clearly it seems to me it will be some time before the jet stream, down below central continental Europe, will move a lot north, to where it 'should' be (- and where we want it to be!).

So there's been no promise of warmer weather from earlier last week at all. I gather the meteorologists can't really predict more than 5 or 6 days in advance. I think it will be a week (perhaps that's too optimistic) or a few weeks yet. Then we will, hopefully, get some spring back. Hopefully, if the summer is then late, it will stay till later as well.

that's the whole point! Lol.....I will wake up to a logical kid tomorrow who will feel the need to eat chocolate at 10 am. I could ask him why, but I won't. His answer will be.....because it's Easter

I can understand that, but is easter a big thing for your household/?? To me it is just a normal weekend, but I get to have fun on Sunday?? I just think it is sad as I think I am missing out on something. :(
