Nooooooo. School coach back to school and dh picking her up - he is not allowed to drink tonight :D

Ok good. No criticism intended at all. I enjoy a glass or two of wine but never drink and drive. Livelyhood depends on it.

Anyone on here got a soup maker? Dad made soup for us last nigh and it was lovely - broccoli and Stilton. Looked around and most of the are over £100' but found this one, just wondered if anyone any ideas? Seems good value.

It was a CoT who mentioned the wine:T

If he was a piece of furniture he would be my American fridge - freezer with iced water on tap and lots of little vegetable drawers and wine racks inside:)

Oh you've just reminded me that I picked up the smeg catalogue at the ideal home show. They do washers now too :)

Wish they had chosen a better name though! I always think of red dwalf!
:D Coupons = the only money we can legally print for ourselves:D

:j A coupon for a free item that is price glitched in Mr T's to be cheaper than Sada for an apg = HEAVEN :j

    :money: total = £47.48 cc = 413 selling stuff = £23.00 Floor pennies = £5.79

I am having a great time down here in Fawley on the edge of the New Forest and my friends are looking after me well, as ever. Their new neighbour invited us upstairs to her flat last night for a drink and nibbles and we had a fun evening, just chatting away

Today, I have been to the Ideal Home Exhibition with Steve & Andy and we had a lovely, but very tiring, day. Andy drove the car to Woking and we got the train to London from there, so he was extra tired when we got back, after doing that drive. We had a meal after the exhibition and got back here about 7.45pm

    BUT ...................................

I got a call from my sister as we were travelling back, to let me know that Mam is not good at all. She and my brother have been with her all day today after the nurse rang to say she was bad. Mam is only semi-conscious and not responding, she was unable to complete the course of antibiotics she started on Tuesday as she is unable to make the swallowing action, which means she can't drink or eat either now. I had said to my sister the other day that Mam seemed to have either given up the fight, or her body has given up on her, as this time she has not been able to bounce back from setback as she had previously. The human body can only do so much, and for so long, and we do really think that this is her time

My sister is staying with her in the care home overnight and the carers have brought in a reclining chair so she can rest/doze as she watches over her, then my brother will go down there in the morning. She is going to ring me in the morning after the nurse comes on duty and checks Mam, but I will definitely be driving home tomorrow, and then up North the following day ..... I don't think I could make the entire journey in one trip unfortunately, but will see how I feel

Steve and Andy are sad that I am going away after just arriving on Wednesday, having planned to stay for 2 weeks, but understand that I have to go

I will let you all know how it all goes

    None taken believe me :)

I don't drink that much at all but love a good rose. I am trying to stay off the painkillers so thought I would demolish a bottle and it is lovely

3Dogs sorry to read this, thinking of you. I've been in the same situation and I can imagine that your feelings are in turmoil (I don't feel like I'm putting this very well). Sending sympathy and support.
