Question, if you wombled a PP at Ts that had been left on the self service till, could you use it straight away or would that look like targeted shopping and be against the rules?
my brother did this on the first week of pp. He paid at ss till and there was a pile of receipts left including a pp for £3 something which he promtly used. He was well pleased! Not sure long term as I have noticed the assistant seems to be clearing up after the ss tills pretty rapidly

I popped back to Mr t about my wine overcharge. OMG you would think I was a thief the way I was treated. They charged me for an extra mini bottle at £2.29 so i expected to get £4.58 dtd. However they kept going on about the 25% discount I had and the 2 for £3.00 on the mini bottles. Then they said I had only bought 4 bottles at £6.99 when i got 2 with my Meal deals and 3 Hardys to compare with Asda. i tried to explain that the offer is for 25% 6 bottles not 6 bottles or more ( as per previous offers and I had checked this with manager on the floor before I bought the wine) and the 25% discount that came off was for the correct amount for 5 large bottles and 2 small ( not 3).
Then the other one who had made such a fuss with the meat earlier joined in and called the duty manager. Then she called the duty manager to the direct cupboard and said she needed to speak to her. They went inside but the duty manager then came out and stared directly at me and said something to the one out of sight. The duty manager then just told the young assistant to give me the £4.58. I then said it was actually very rude to whisper about customers and they both denied it. I just took my refund and left. I took their names and will be reporting them to customer services in the morning.
Shame was my daughter and her friend ( who is cs at another Tesco) had been with me but they took so long i sent them out to the car. My daughter and her friend would have had something to say.

Glitch: Avs S on this one.

Yes, it is back - as this one has happened before, last summer, before I joined this forum. I've just been checking M's Stainless Steel Scourers (3 pack at 99p) to see if there is an equivalent at A. There isn't - S has them at £1.15 and M cheaper.

But... (and folks in N.I. can join in this one!) A's Power Scourers (6) are on MSM.co.uk at £1.98, vs S 90p. The 'comparable' ones at S are actually Sains. Double Action Grip Pan Scourers (called Sains. 6 Sponge Scourers on the pack). But I think they're - like the other own brand non-SP/value sponge ones in other stores - 'inferior' to the A product, which is the steel power scourers, or tough ones. So six tough scourers from A for 81p! MSM says the Power Scourers are comparable to the sponge ones - and who am I to disagree?

    ASDA Power Scourers (6)
    £1.98 90p (Sains.)

If you need some scourers, that remove tough ingrained dirt on pots, pans and cutlery/plates, I'd put one (or more) on your next Avs S shop. (I actually got mine - 3 packs of them - when S had the double action ones on for 90p each but with any 3 for 2. Back when that was possible. Not as great now, but still quite good - possibly hold out a little to see if S puts them on a 2 for £1.50 multibuy (or even 2 for £1.00)? Although I doubt they will.)

Savvy, does it it actually come back on the APG as this or are you just going of MyS?

I tried this a few weeks ago - should have compared to T's at 90p but came back as NA :( The only blackberries that T's have for 90p are of the tinned variety.

If you look at the signs it says for 6 bottles and I asked the wine manager and he said for every 6. But you are right as it gave me the discount for the 7. So shall I go back tommorow and give them back the £1.14 they gave me by mistake. oh no think I will keep it for being made to look like a thief at the counter!!

I can confirm that the scourers do indeed compare at 90p, I bought these in the shopping for work on Monday.

    1 x ASDA Power Scourers (6) £1.98 £0.90

    I hadn't checked until now
