Good afternoon everyone!
Off out shopping shortly! Can anyone tell me what glitches are currently working? Easter eggs? Muller?Save, save, save, save.0 -
Well - Win 8 installation did indeed get stuck on 26%
but second time lucky, all nice & installed on my son's PC with Classic Shell for easy navigation0 -
Are you going through the boot tab in the BIOS menu and selecting the usb?
Edit : strike that, just read your reply to someone else.
What OP is it currently running on?
ta LC but got it going now.
Upgraded from 32 bit Win XP Pro to 64 bit Win 8 Pro.
If you didn't know you can do that, well - yes you can but you need to have a 64 bit capable PC and to keep the costs down download your Win 8 upgrade onto a USB stick or other media whilst you are on a 64 bit PC (mine was using Win 7).
Then you can go up to 64 bit (if that's what you want). Bit faster and uses the RAM memory more efficiently so I believe. :cool:0 -

just got dtd on finest meal deal, paid £18, so got 16 back:T, bloody jobsworth on the till wouldn't take the finest £2 voucher cos it wouldn't scan, called supervisor who hadn't arrived after 10 minutes, so I had my voucher back and told him I would call head office - didn't mention it to CS lady as she was a bit of a trout and I had to ask twice for dtd on the overcharge.
I got Classic lamb & champ ( was all they had apart from chicken in slop)
Roast potatoes in goose fat
Chocolate melting middle deserts - wanted the profiteroles, but none of them left either
Montepulciano wine
paid £48, used a £5 HH
I got a 9.49 pp back too
and £16 dtd
and oops gave the pp to my oh to use on our normal shop. didn't notice till I got home the boy on the till gave him the pp back  Will his till be down??0 -
We have been limping along with my new Windows 8 laptop since Christmas - I am sure the new set up makes sense with a touch screen but personally find it very annoying for normal use as the screen changes to something else almost randomly depending on where you are on the screen (I know it isn't random, but annoying nonetheless!!). I have trued to persevere but may give in and change to Windows 7 set up you as you suggest as it then works as intended.

Yep try installing Classic Shell and you might get the benefits of both worlds - brilliand Win 8 operating system but with Classic Shell a user friendly interface that is easy to use because it's just like the Windows operating systems you've been using for the last 10 years
Free as well0 -

Yes his till will be down. You can't use the vouchers more than once anyway so next time you're in give it to cs and explain what happened0 -

Fuzz maybe use the black/ red technique to try to preserve your stake?
£1 on (say) red.
You lose.
£2 on red.
You win.
£1 on black.
You win.
£1 on red etc
Ie double up on the same colour as long as you keep losing.
Then change colour but go back to £1.
Often you'll end up pretty close to £20 at the end.0
