For the 1st time in 2 weeks I am alone. Does not seem like 2 weeks ago I was sitting in a&E waiting to see if my daughter was going to be alive in the morning. She has been collected by her boyfriend and she is staying at his until tommorow lunch time. She is making progress slowly. She has slept in my bed a few times though. Her friends have been great.
Trying to work out the best and cheapest way to get some wine tommorow. I have 2 helping hands and lots of finest to spend. Was hoping to get some of the Lotus biscuits but missed the voucher.

lol, :rotfl: hello all again, just :rotfl: eating my soup whilst catching up here x x

SavvyBuyer me needs butter, Im down to 1 block of the organic rachels i'd got from waity's, sod the organic stuff i thought (having read a couple of articles about organic butter v normal) i see morribobs have 2 for £2 on anchor, what do You aka our resident nutty:D expert think, will it compare on an apg shop ?

am off to Sada tomorrow tomorrow to get:D some if it will, also any tips on buying any other excellent value foods which comare well on an apg shop v morriie's? anyone recommend anything? tia

money doc and perky pam, 2 q's i asked there, it's a contest now;)

The Anchor's on 2 for £2 multibuy isn't it and not on a bogof in M? (M also have some Clover on £2 'buy one get one free' - in other words buy 1 Clover and 1 Clover light of the correct size.)

But neither the Anchor nor the Clover were on my lists (that is, those parts that have yet to be transferred to here) - and therefore, as I haven't taken them down, my details on them are sketchy (relying on my memory, excellent though it is most times:rotfl::rotfl:). This is because £1 each, or 10% cheaper than £1, is too much for me now - as that's 90p a tub and 'half price' offers at rivals to A on butter/margarine often go down to 87p straight (without any 10%).

[Strike]My next-to-best at the moment is the I Can't Believe... 1kg at £1.50 straight in A (75p per 500g!). Also a Tvs A/S vs A item, but you have to buy other items just to get a 'price match'. I can't believe it's still on rollback in A - is this to end imminently or is A's 'price lock' of real substance? - although OOS last week in my A they did still have some left tonight.[/Strike] 29/3: 00.55: now ended - price incr. in A as from 29/3 to £2.46.

I agree with you on Organic.

The best butter/marg. at the mo. is Stork 1kg - Avs T or Avs S (also Avs M but more risky) - cost £1.80 net via APG - then 50p more back on TCB Snap & Save. Making it £1.30 for 1kg. TCB offer ends 31/3.

So, if I were you, I'd rush off to your 24hr A tonight... Avs T seems to me best... and buy, well, much what I bought tonight in my two vs T shops - some of which you've already seen - but not the pies! - such as:

The Bird's Eye cod fish fingers (10 per pack) - 100% cod version.
    Baby New Potatoes/Herbs & Butter
    CBY Frozen 28 Battered Chicken Dippers (A £2 T £1 approx.)
[Strike]Penguin 9 pack (original) can go on there if you're using Shopitize (still quite good even if you're not)[/Strike] Shopitize on Penguin not avail. for shopping in A. But still a good price though.
Johnsons Baby Bath (blue) 500ml is another vs T item from the TCB list if you want.
[Strike]Sun-maid Natural California Raisins - it's a 500g pot (largely red in colour) - an unbelievable £3.45 at A and (don't know if this is unbelievable or not) 80p in T (I am hoping, hoping, hoping).[/Strike] Edit: Sun-Maid Raisins are coming back vs £3.15 for T (see another of my posts below).
You can get 2 packs of 150g Walkers sensations (two sep. items if diff are bought) vs T's 2 for £2 and then TCB snap and save quickly. There's six versions that compare (as far as I'm aware of) - Walkers Sensations 150g: Caramelised Onion & Balsamic Vinegar. Southern Style BBQ. Roasted Chicken & Thyme. Vintage Cheddar & Onion Chutney. Thai Sweet Chilli. Mexican Fiery Chipotle.
    Plus the 1kg Stork.
That's [Strike]eight[/Strike] now seven items. (But I'm sure we can make eight extremely easily.)
If you need any more, try SP Scourers 19p or SP Cloths 36p, SP Individual Strawberry Trifle 40p & Strawberry Cheesecake 36p (also vs T, and M), the Melon Slices 400g are N/A vs T and a very good price per unit in A! Also the 1kg English Root Veg pack NA vs T.

If you need milk, wait till tomorrow (or a second shop) where you can buy 4pt milk x3 vs M's. Of course, I have some (many many:rotfl:) ideas for excellent values vs M, I will of course draw attention to some of them later on here - after I've got further in checking the current, new M list. Perhaps a good one is Hartley Jelly x3 = vs M's any 3 for £1.00. Three different flavours = three sep. items (details of which flavours to follow later).

    Oops...long, looooonnnggg post again.:rotfl::):mad:;)

well we had our lamb for tea tonight. OH told me he was cooking it in claret, butter beans and tomatoes....and other stuff. I was very sceptical. But Im happy to report it was just lovely and not that lamby at all. The concoction he cooked it in turned into a lovely stew sort of thing. Very tasty. That doesn't make me a total lamb convert but Im coming round to eating lamb if it's not too lamby :)
