A quick(!):D update on my M list - to be honest even I'm getting a bit bored of it at the moment, with occasional interest being rekindled when I come across an item only avail. in A and M. I've just found the frozen own brand 12 mini chocolate eclairs as one such item, but can't be bothered to remember what the other ones I've added were at the moment! They're on the Avs M post now, and some items, mainly some toiletries and some attempted fresh meat mix and matches, still to be added. I just need perhaps a few hours, or some hours, before I get interested (or perhaps more bored:rotfl:) to put them on the list.

Just a mention about what's happened on the lemon meringue (frozen) pie - the new version avail. in M turned out to be more expensive than the own brand comparison - but T have now reduced their price on their comparable to £1.50, so the Lemon Meringue Pie has been taken off the Avs M and is now Avs T.

A few M near-misses (or not so near): Fosters 10x440ml and Carling 10x440ml are M £7.00 (until 7/4), this works out at £1.59/litre (minus 10% via APG) but this is more expensive than the items I already have on the list (at £1.37/litre for M) so I've narrowly decided not to put them on the list proper. Also, Becks Blue (non-alcoholic) 15x275ml is £7.00 M, but this is £1.70/litre on the M price. Mentioned though so you don't Sains BM vs A on it, which is 10% more expensive (at the £1.70/litre rather than 10% lower than that).

Here are some items *not* to put on an Avs M comp., as the equivalent in M is much more expensive: SP Hot Chocolate (400g) A 48p (and T 48p, so A vs T), M 62p. SP Thin Bleach (2L) A 29p (and T and S 29p) but M I have as 49p. SP Tomato Ketchup (550g) 28p (T and S 28p but for 10g more so price comparison slightly lower than 28p), M is 40p (550g).

The part of the list to 'buy in M' (as M appears to be best value and no equivalents have been found stocked in either A or T) - I am hoping to repost it when I've amended it slightly to fit this week.

Finally, I've been looking at the vacuum pack pork and vacuum pack beef (on 'half price' in M), although unfortunately when I typed, for example, "vacuum beef" into "MSM" it gave the result that it was "empty"!

    Hi kadison,

I bought McVities choc digestives and Bertolli which compare well- along with the corners:)

Thanks TM, I've just done a bit of research and (I'm on SW atm so no choc digestives :() I think the butchers selection bacon should be ok as a filler and I need some whole cloves which will add about 60p to my APG :D

Nothing else I need is comparing but I will have a look at the Bertolli, thank you!

Might have to get Dodo on the hunt, then I can swap mags for the 1p snowmen I got last saturday. :)

Hope you all managed to get the buzz of some xmas 1p choc. Was a bit thin on the ground our way this year.

nothing on the 1p front here that I could find :( I was very disappointed In fact I went shopping yesterday. On my own with a rare amount of free time to have a good wander round and found no bargains :( except a £1 bulb planter :rotfl:

Put my head outside the door and decided "no way" - I thought there would be tracks on the road to drive but no. The thought of crashing at this time of the night

Glad you decided to stay safe. :)

Not a sign of any down here thank goodness. Been quite wet but looking at the news luckily we are not any further south west.

I had a feeling this year that it would not be such good pickings as our Ts had moved all the bits into crates quite soon after xmas and they disappeared from seasonal aisle and some bits returned to clearance section when a bit reduced.

I was lucky the snowmen were sat in the middle of the egg displays. :D

Have an army of the things reminded me of HCs army of Lindt teddies last year. :rotfl:

The CC statement came through the other day I still can't believe I got them that price. I am really really sorry that I didn't post it but if I had someone else would have snatched the couple crates I ordered must have been the quickest glitch in history. :(
