    Dear SD,
I don't post here very often as I don't feel like I have a lot to say. I am new and don't have a lot to contribute but I am around most of the time and have read all your posts. I didn't feel like I could read and not respond to this one. I really, really feel for you. What you are coping with from The Beast would have tipped me over the edge ages ago. You really must be a saint. You are doing the absolute best thing by finding him a loving home. As far as those animal rescue people are concerned please try to remember what it says in someone's signature (sorry forgotten who!) but I think it's a great mantra to hold on to, it's along the lines of 'remember opinions are not facts, listen to them but then move on'. They don't know you and your situation. You must do what is best for you and ultimately for The Beast. I think your son must be very proud of you and your strength. Even if he is too young now to see it, he definitely will look back when he is older and marvel at the way you are dealing with things. I hope you don't feel that I am intruding. I just wanted you to know that even though we don't know each other, I am thinking of you and actually you are an inspiration. Please don't stay away. I have seen that there are other people on here who care about you very much and your posts may just help other people to know that they are not alone in their problems and maybe help them to cope better with what they are going through. I know that sometimes other people's problems can help me to put mine in perspective a bit. Thank you for sharing with us and please know that you have certainly helped me. I will go back into (mostly) lurkdom now but hope to contribute more when I am able.
    Love and hugs xxx
Well said much better than I could have put it :T:T

  • Can I please ask a question of the lovely Irish crew on here? Has anybody heard of a dance troup called Footstorm? I consider myself an honorary Irish person having my birthday on 17th March and loving all things Irish including music, dance etc and have always been a fan of Riverdance, Michael Flatley etc and recently came across the group of dancers called Footstorm. What I want to know is - am I setting myself up for disappointment if I book tickets or are they evry bit as good as the others? They are on tour in UK atm and I need my fix of Irish stuff lol having missed out recently:eek::D:eek:

Have you tied Ikea's filter coffee? It is £1.79 for the usual size pack of 225g and its really good. We always stock up when we go. I haven't seen filter coffee cheaper than that.

So agree ................ just a shame ikea is a 300 mile return trip to stock up.
Big campaign at the moment to bring Ikea to Aberdeen - petition on line already signed. just hope Ikea listen!!

Thanks David. I do join in if I feel that I have something to contribute but as a novice it doesn't happen often. I will try harder!:)

Thank you to everyone whose advice has helped me in my desperate quest to make ends meet. x

EDIT-Back on the quest, I've been away too long!

For anyone who is interested, the cast iron pot is the only one that I've seen that's good for an induction hob. So treated myself when I bought some lamb.:D Alongside the £5 off voucher, I ended up being paid to take the pot away.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Can you explain how this works please ? I have my £5 off voucher and all my stickers ready to buy the cast iron pot.....how do you work it so that they are paying you then ? Thanks
