    Thanks.

What was the ACTUAL weight of the pork you bought?

    Was it 0.954kg right enough?

yes, thats what the label says, this is not a very big joint of meat though, but enough for 4 of us. they did have other pork loin on offer but these ones are £8.99 per kilo and looks much nicer than the ones they had on offer.

Just a quick post to say daughter is home from hospital and we are waiting for a referral to the mental health team. I am on constant watch all the time as I have been told not to leave her. However if appears she had been saving the paracetomol for some time. Had a sort out of tablets in the house and all there is now is about 4 paracetomol and some gastro intestinal tablets i take.
I am feeling the strain and had a bad bout of D&V yesterday. i am going for my ECG on Wednesday although I know my blood pressure is well up.
I am going to see if I can get respite care for Mum as I dont think I can deal with that stress aswell.
On a positive note I got my Caesers bingo £40.40 tcb, £45.00 cAESERS Quidco, £20 TCB referrals, £36.00 tcb Lets Suscribe and am awaiting the IMutual £30.00 and the 5000 Nectar points. Saw 4 joints of Silverside wrongly priced yesterday but did not get it as the cs lady was the one who have me such grief about the gammon at Xmas
Poor you rose with all this on your shoulders. Hope everything goes well on Wednesday as it sounds like you have many people relying on you. Look after yourself rose x

I second this. Sarahdol bet you were worried sick. My son once had agonising stomach pains and was an infection of his lymph nodes. It was very frightening hearing him screeching with pain :( x

Yes, it is very frightening, he was in real agony, but pain seems to have gone now.

Rose, glad your daughter out of hospital now, take care yourself, and hope Wednesday goes ok.

I just picked up another Gammon joint from Mr T at lunch £18.94 on DTD, though I would pay for it at that price, free is just about acceptable :rotfl::rotfl:.

Still not found any of the beef or Pork joints :(.

    Afternoon :)

Loving all the cucumber posts.....but I still just bought 1

My OHs appointment went well, I think. Today was just an assessment/chat to see if the therapy would be suitable for him. It's called mindfulness based CBT. It's about not getting depressed about the past or anxious about the future and concentrating on strategies for coping with the here and now. I think it sounds really positive. It's fairly new to the PCT in this area so OH is fortunate to be offered a place. He starts an 8 week course of it next month :j:j he's more ......but he's like that about everything just now.

Is this the sort of thing TM was talking about the other week? I wonder

    Hi FC :)

Mindfulness in counselling is being taught a lot now across the UK. I study it a bit as part of my neuro linguistic programming/clinical hypnotherapy/counselling courses at Uni.

It is good and more forward looking than some traditional counselling methods. It is based around the Buddist belief system (though it has a lot of other influences as well). Stop the rush, rush rush of everyday life, create your own harmony.

You learn how to notice more about your immediate surroundings and yourself.

It also teaches you to just appreciate things - so if you get up in the morning and the sun is shining, stop for a minute and look out the window and feel it on your face. Take time to think how nice and warm it feels, look at the way it lights up the flowers/reflects off the puddles etc. You may then notice that you are feeling quite calm, your breathing is relaxed and it encourages you to stay in that moment and enjoy it.

May sound a bit new age hippy but it is designed to break the cycle of your mind running over problems or being anxious about things.

I hope it works for your hubby :)

  • I've come to pick the brains of the Elite!

I know that there are a few on here who have HP printers, I'm just wondering where is the best/cheapest place to buy 301 cartridges please?
I seem to remember someone, possibly Call of Trouty, posting about somewhere before, but it was a while back.

If anyone has any suggestions they would be gratefully received.
    Thanks in advance :)
