Omg Dotty :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Lurrrrrrrve it!
p.s. SFSB can we extend the weekend let's have a pop at Dotty to week - end, as in to the end of the week
David u know am just messing with you...but yes, henceforth you shall be known as Dotty, sfcb has chosen a brilliant name for ya, I luvs it:D. do u like your new name dotty dear? :rotfl:
well I've just got in from a lovely eve with me girlfriends, one of them we literally had to carry home and now I will commence working on a party wall issue where the neighbour on one side is demanding an extra .50cm from adjoining neighbour's land before he starts building! This man has just thrown a 23year strong friendship down the drain by doing so - the woman whom got in touch with me was distraught as to why he would even ask such a thing as the fence in between has been in place for 18yrs. Suddenly he gets planning permission to build an extension and starts writing letters to next door neighbour demanding land! Seriously, what is wrong with people these days!
I value my neighbours and their friendship far too much to ever behave like so...saying that, these are my views and when on site, I stick to being completely impartial, like totally...if the one demanding the land here can produce legal documents or deeds showing what he is claiming is his, I will indeed halt all works and give him time to prove this in court and then commence! Oh the joys of building - not!
see u all soon x x hugs to all, especially Dotty:rotfl:

Here's how I understand the T DTD/PP meat glitch to work.
Sadly it's not an easy one to explain and I have to ask you to bear with me
Let's say that T was offering a particular pork joint reduced from £8.99/kg to £4.49/kg and that A is selling something comparable for £5/kg
Every one of these pork joints in T should have a similar barcode on them except for the last 4 digits which should include the price of each unique joint. That is how you can predict what price you will actually pay at the till
Lets imagine you pick up a 1kg pork joint, marked at half price of £4.49/kg and you pay the correct price of £4.49 at the till.
The price promise system only knows that you bought pork and that you paid £4.49. it doesn't know any more than those simple facts. But given that pork is £4.49 per kg on that day it can work backwards and deduce that you must have bought 1kg. Knowing the kg you have bought is how it calculates the price in other stores. It compares your £4.49/kg purchase against £5/kg in Sada and so your PP is reduced by 51p
That's the "simple" scenario :rotfl:
What if you mistakenly (;)) pick up a full price joint that didn't have a new label put on? Say it was a 1kg joint that went through the till at full price of £8.99. The PP system sees you paid £8.99 on a day that pork is supposed to be £4.49/kg and so it thinks you have bought 2kg
The price in Sada is £5/kg so 2kg would cost £10. Your PP is reduced by £1.01 because you only paid £8.99 at T's till. Then you go to CS for your DTD refund of £9. So your joint was effectively free...unless you were doing a PP shop in which case you lost out on £1
But what if you buy a half priced pack after the offer is finished (i.e. the individual pack prices haven't been replaced)?
Again lets say you pick up a 1kg pack, still priced at the offer price of £4.49/kg. You will be charged £4.49 but because the PP system has been told that the price that day is supposed to be £8.99/kg it works out that you must have bought just 0.5kg. 0.5kg in Sada would cost £2.50 so you would get back £1.99 PP. So you get 1kg pork for the price of 0.5kg in Sada
What if you see OOD sels advertising pork at £4.49 per kg but you pick up a full priced pack at £8.99/kg or you pick up the wrong pork (British instead of Irish, etc)? Again lets pretend you pick up a 1kg pack and that this time you pay the correct price on that day of £8.99
The price promise system knows that pork is £8.99 per kg and so it figures out that you have bought 1kg and compares against the other supermarkets £/kg. e.g compares against Sadas price of £5 per kg so gives you back £3.99
But then you go to CS, tell them about the half price signage and that you should have only paid £4.49, get £9.00 back i.e. you were paid a penny to take it away as well as getting a PP voucher for £3.99
As you can see, there's a lot to consider with this type of glitchThat is assuming Sada's price remains fixed at £5/kg throughout. If their price fluctuates then the whole house of cards comes tumbling down
