Your "advisor" most likely we have little to no input on the processing of the application.0 -

Or no vested interested. Off his desk and onto the next stage of the process. A broker would want some sort of ownership to the client process, bank staff less so.
In saying that, I think they need to manage your expectations better as a case submitted on the 11th and only agreed yesterday would show positive signs. Assume an offer takes 3 weeks in total and you won't be disappointed.
Trust you are showing the same sort of urgency with the solicitors. The lender may indeed offer you the money by the weekend say, and then you'll find yourself getting equally frustrated with the legal process. Work on 6-8 weeks in total. Anything quicker is a bonus
Good luck0 -
Hello
We made our offer on a house on the 11th January, mortgage appointment on the 21st
Exchanged today and complete on the 26th (next wednesday)
We did have some delays with the mortgage valuer making mistake that added probably 2 weeks on to it
Total of about 8 weeks from when we instructed the solicotor - about normal from what i've read on here0 -
About 2 weeks from first viewing to completion.MFiT-T3 :: Reduce mortgage to 80k (86.30%)0

First viewing to exchange was 7 weeks exactly (exchanged today). Completion set for 26/03 so 1 day short of 8 weeks, again by choice so that I had an extra month's salary for when I moved in.0

In my 20 years broking, the fastest FTB transaction was about 6 weeks, the slowest over a year.
Second guessing such things belongs in the realm of trying to predict whether you will get a cold in the next 24 months.0 -
My first house, a repossession being sold by Halifax for £27k in 2006 - I paid cash and was in the house in 5 days. No surveys. Solicitor said it was the fastest transaction of that type they had ever seen.
Me chasing each side up every day probably had something to do with it!0
