Hi and firstly thanks for looking,

I am being chased by a company called RSM Tenon for an account I held with Yell.

I sent them a CCA and they have responded with the information.
Only problem is, they are chasing me for £1239.93 when I have worked out the amount I actually owe them is £1046.45. It also shows this amount on the CCA, I know its not much of a difference but I feel it is rather rude to just add on money without explanation and would like to dispute this debt.

Only problem is I don't know where to start in a letter and would be grateful of any help

Regards
Sarah

Just tell them you are disputing the amount and you want a breakdown of the amount they are saying you owe.

They just cannot pluck a figure out of mid air and expect you to pay it lol

Are you happy to ask them for a full and final settlement. When you get the breakdown, offer them 30% and see what they say.

Keep al copies and send registered post.

    Good luck

    I have a breakdown
    It states as follows:

    Amount of advertising: £5073.05
    Credit Notes: -£909.71
    Direct Debit Payments -£3116.89

Now my maths is pretty poor but correct me if im wrong that equals £1046.45 owed not the requested £1239.93.

is the any template I could use?
    Thanks

I agree with your figures, so dont know where the extra has come from.

Just tell them there is an error in there calculations.

Would they check it please because my calculations are. etc. etc.

They have obviously made an error. give them a chance to correct it.
    one last point

    Idiots lol.

I cant think of a template, just put it down on paper so that a 5 year old can understand it ol

    Good luck
