First time buyer trying to find a decent/cheap solicitor

halifax use 2 solicitors, leeson & co and patterson donnelly. leeson and co (brian leeson) are excellent, i have used them for 1 sale and 2 purchaces, and i would reccommend them, no nonsence and a great price.

Patterson donnelly on the other hand are abismil, quite possibly the least professional firm I have ever dealt with.

If you go to Brian Leeson directly and say that you would like the rates he gives to the Halifax then you should be plesantly surprised.

Get a quote from Robert G Sinclair in belfast ask to speak to charlotte beattie. She will email you a quote, was the cheapest i could find and when you phone her you actually get her on the phone which is a major problem with many solicitors.

I recommend Campbell and Caher as solicitors as well. I dealt with them in Lisburn but my friend dealt with them in Belfast, Bradbury Place.
The gave excellent service and were on the ball and all for a reasonable price.

Had another solicitor on Upper Lisburn Road previously who was rubbish.

Ask them for a written quote first.
