From the moment you step ashore and baggage porters relieve you of your luggage for the short stroll to the White House, you know you are in for a very special holiday experience. The hotel's lovely gardens lead down to the sea. Many of the comfortable bedrooms have sea views as does the restaurant, where the oysters are so fresh you can see the oyster beds from your window seat!

Herm Island lies an inexpensive 20-minute ferry ride from Guernsey. Just over a mile long by half a mile wide, you can walk around Herm in less than two hours. However, you will want to linger and admire the views from the cliff paths, the wildflowers and birdlife, or stop off for a swim at one of the glorious sandy beaches. There is only one hotel on the island, so even at the height of summer crowds are unheard of.

The free night must be taken within 12 months, subject to availability. Excludes bank holidays and school holidays.

The stay is open to a maximum of two adults sharing a double room.
