halifax mortgage change?

mmm....rang them, still dont understand...they are going to put it in writing because even they couldnt tell me wether the payments i have been making have been reducing the term/interest or lowring my repayments!!!!...banks......:mad:

James - I too am with the Halifax and have been having the exact same issue as you since I signed up to a new mortgage deal in Nov12, I make overpayments to reduce my term and not my payment, I now keep getting monthly letters saying they're reducing my monthly payment and not the term, I've spoken with lots of Halifax people and get a different version of events each time, I've even laughed at them saying I've been with you since 1997 and have never had such issues with reducing the term till now, what on earth are you playing at?!

I've been advised to wait for this new system, and you'll be able to do a lot more online, so I'm waiting to see what happens with this before I have consider escalating it further and having a meltdown with a manager, as I'm going to escalate this issue if it is not resolved via their new system. I haven't had my new letter yet for the transfer to this new system at the end of this month, but I can't wait to see it....:mad:
