Credit clean up

Hello
I have been reading through lots of posts regarding the clean up and I just need some clarification. I have several on my credit file without being listed as satisfied or settled - if I leave these will it matter? Will they automatically come off 6 years after default date even if they are not marked as satisfied? I do have quite a few which need to change and if nothing different happens with them coming off my file I shall leave them.
Thank you

Yes, they leave after six years. If you make even one payment that will start the clock again.
If they have been satisfied or settled you could ask for the creditor to update your record. But if there's no urgency, waiting is easier and effective.0 -
Most vital thing is that the default date is correct, as that determines when the whole thing comes off your file.
Satisfied/settled or not is something you can correct it if bothers you, but not crucial.
Saying that, if you are being pestered by creditors post BR, then by forcing them to mark it as settled you often also force them to acknowledge the fact of the BR.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Thank you for replies. I was BR in 2011 and when looking at the credit clean up it is going to be a big job but as most of the default dates are only a month after the BR it seems a lot of effort for a clear credit report a month earlier than it will be as it stands. I just wasn't sure if it would cause a problem for me at some point with not having settled or satisfied on all entries.
Thank you agin for your help
