Yes, but still a saving. Delivery also £4.95 from Thompson & Morgan direct.
  • Brilliant. My DH has been after a couple of tree peonies and I've been whining that they're too expensive. Sorted!

Don't worry if you missed out, free/low cost tree peony offers are ten a penny once spring comes :D
  • Yesterday I received the following from T&M:
A letter telling me that customers had 'misunderstood' that plants wouldn't be sent out until spring 2014 and to cheer us up during the wait, we'd all be getting free geraniums and foxgloves.

A package, which I assumed was the free items. It was in fact 4 dead sticks covered in mould, two of which had long yellow white shoots. One had its tap root removed, so I doubt that'll recover at all. They had clearly come from dark, airless storage.

Several notes were in the package, one to tell me that the Magnolia had been replaced with 3 tree peonies due to 'excessive demand', one to tell me my plants were growing so well, they'd decided to send them early and various money off vouchers to 'apologise' which all involve me spending at least £50 with the company.

In short, instead of the 2 good plants I was expecting, I have 1 definitely dead one and 3 which may or may not recover. So no, it wasn't worth it!

I doubt the promised 'free plants' will now turn up, but I'll let you know!:(
