As far as I know, you will need to establish how long the conviction lasts before it is classed as "spent" under the Rehabilitation Of Offenders Act.
Your local court should be able to give you the information, or failing that, it may be an idea to call into one of the drop in sessions at your local Citizens Advice Bureau.

Pretty much forever...You don't have to declare it after a while but it will always be recorded and may be disclosed in an enhanced CRB.sheffielduk wrote: »back in the late 90,s i was convicted of benefit fraud,i was fined and got a suspended sentence and pay back the overdue payment, the police were not involved, but when i applied for work with royal mail i was turned down due to the fraud record (i wasnt told it would go on record by the solicitor i had at the time)
but later found out it would, basically how long does it stay on file?
thanks.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.
