Working for Virgin Media?

I currently work in security, but the job is seriously doing my head in, almost every day at some point I feel like walking out. There are not many security jobs in my field in the Manchester area, so I applied for Virgin Media Customer Service.
Ive got a telephone interview with them next week, which I reckon should be ok, just a bit scared because of the obvious stigma thats attatched to Call centres.
The hours seem fine and I know I could do the job given the right training, the pay is a wee bit less but I can adjust.
Anybody worked for Virgin Media Customer service?? What is it like??

My husband works in retentions and from what I gather it is very laid back. They watch TV between calls, sick days are very easy to book as it's all computer based so no begging managers. He doesn't enjoy the -job- as in retentions there is a lot of miffed customers, but I think he quite likes the atmoshphere and the relaxedness of it all.

He's also joined a pension scheme and you also join the Virgin Tribe which seems to have benefits and discounts with certain companies.
