MET Parking Ticket

MET Services Parking ticket. Advice please.
My daughter lives in a gated flats on the Isle of Dogs. I drove to her flat and after she let me in through the gates I went up to her flat to collect to collect bits and pieces to be taken to the charity shop when we both went down to the car parked directly outside her flat the guy was putting a ticket on my car. I protested but he said sorry its to late.
Should I know pay this ticket £60 or is there anyway apart from sending a letter with the vain hope that they may cancel it.

Thanks

Kenny

Why on earth would you pay a fake PCN? And cancellation is NOT a vain hope if you properly appeal to POPLA with certain legal points.

Your choices are clear, ignore it all (debt collector letters and all, because it's a scam, a fake PCN, not a fine at all, obviously!) or appeal using the POPLA system which is what I recommend - but ONLY if you word the POPLA appeal strongly.

Here's a pepipoo thread discussing the options:

    http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=77301

But when you get to POPLA stage you'll need advice from here or pepipoo if your reading of threads on both forums, by then, has not found the sort of wording that is likely to win at POPLA. A main point will be any breach of the BPA Code of Practice - so read it on the BPA website, look at dates and deadlines and other requirements that the PPC may have got wrong.

Do not just repeat the same appeal at POPLA that you use at the PPC.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
