What is wrong with possibly finding an error and then investigating it ??
Welcome have been proved to be in the wrong over ppi , so while trying to sort mine out I find another possible wrong doing. What do I do , leave it or look into it ,seek advice from the governing bodies and take what they say as the right advice. If my agreement was miss sold , why shouldn't I see what my options are.
I'm a little baffled.
Who did you speak to at the FSA?
The FOS tell everyone to complain, about anything. It keeps the money coming in and it's easier than actually training their call centre staff.
Presumably you thought the cost of the windows and finance was reasonable when you took it out, you've now paid it off and the 'serious error' has not affected the cost. No harm, no foul surely?
The question every complaints handler should, but isn't trained to ask - what do you want to get out of this?My username refers to my enthusiasm for 'asking the stupid question' I don't think you're stupid!0 -
You always think its reasonable when you take it out , later you may not .
Not one of the governing bodies will give you legal advice ,it's up to you to get a solicitor.
The loan may be paid , but its like saying you found out who robbed your house 8 years ago ,but its ok now as my insurance replaced the goods. It's not ok , he robbed your house , committed an illegal act0 -

I imagine a lot of Welcome Finance customers thought their loans where reasonable when they wanted something!
I'll try again - What do you want to get out of this?My username refers to my enthusiasm for 'asking the stupid question' I don't think you're stupid!0 -
My ppi when I finally know who to claim it off. If my agreement POSSIBLY is wrong why shouldn't I go for a further claim , which would be at my expense , as I would have to get a solicitor involved .
I have to wait on the conclusion from FOS.0 -

Safestyle have held a consumer credit licence since 24-Jan-1993 (as per CRW.ORG.UK) there is no issue with loan agreement. They are allowed to sell loans to this very day without being FSA authorised.
You may have a case about the PPI being sold by them. Yet again, PPI does not invalidate the agreement.0 -
I'll just wait for Fos to get back to me.
Yes they have held a license for years ,which allows them to provide loans , but that license also governs their actions.
Thanks for all your replies Bozo "Giv me ya money" bro00 -
And will you be happy to give them their money back?0
