Dispute shown on credit report

Ok, so been reviewing my credit file on "check my file" and under the section where my bankruptcy is shown, it is showing that its been disputed. I havent disputed anything on file ever, apart from an entry where Barclaycard sold my debt on (see previous posts for info).

Why would i dispute it anyway, i'm discharged and have been bobbing along in life quite happy since my bankruptcy and really sorted life out.

What does this mean? Anyone know or had similar concerns?

Please help me, i'm really worried about it....

    Was there a creditor who was not included in the BR but should have been? I have almost the opposite situation, had an IVA 6+ years ago and, oddly, Barclaycard have reintroduced an entry that was previously satisfied to now show default and a later date too - however, in this case it is ME who has disputed their erroneous facts. Didn't realise anyone else could dispute entries in your file other than you. Does your file indicate WHICH entry is being disputed, surely the BR itself is a Court matter?
  • Its the actual bankruptcy thats showing a dispute!
    Very confusing???

    Did you query your BR not showing with the CRA following this?

    --> Br not showing

    If so it could be a hang over from that query?

    With BR, this sort of situation doesn't happen....all pre-BR unsecured debts are included, whether listed or not..that is the power of a BR.
    No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......
  • Is it because you disputed some facts on your credit record? e.g. your account should show "Settled" on the day of discharge. If it does not then you contact the credit reference agency AND the relevant company and dispute the case. They then change your credit file to show "settled" and it is then up to date.

    Could this be why it is shown as dispute?

    I disputed all accounts that were not shown as "settled" or "£0" with all three credit agency's but on "check my file" it shows:-

    EXPERIAN - "NOT DISPUTED"
    EQUIFAX - "NOT REPORTED"
    CALL CREDIT _ "YES" (in the disputed column).

    if i am not correct can someone help me because its panicked me a little now
