Final credit check concern...mortgage completion

Options
Due to complete with Halifax on Friday. Iv not taken any new cards out but use my tesco cc for spending for points and payoff monthly.

Just check credit report & they showing my last month balance of £650... Which was paid down to £120. So now it looks like iv got higher credit card outstanding.

Would they pull offer due to this? As this is £400 more than I had in credit when they made the offer? Or are they looking for new credit agreements & new big outstanding balances?

If your case is pulled for routine audit and if you've applied for any new credit, you may find your offer withdrawn if the lender had issues over affordability.

The chances are small. Not enough to worry about, anyway.

Thanks kingstreet. Do they banks not all do a last credit check before they release funds though?

    No.

Such checks are rare and often done at random. Halifax samples around 1 in 12 of its cases this way to ensure the documentation matches up with the submitted information on the application.
