    The NewBuy scheme, currently only available to new-build properties, is also expected to be extended to older homes.

    Now that would be interesting, but I'm sure they'll find a way to screw it up, so it ends up being just another ineffective token gesture.

    That is in deed a much better graph shame the Daily Mail couldn't find it.

    On the basis that the private sector speculative builders never took up slack we really need to be pursuing other avenues to resolve the issue.

    Did you post the wrong graph? Because this one is showing £ million, not units.

    Based on average house prices being flat or falling slightly doesn't make any difference.
