Bozita tetra packs - where's cheapest to buy?

I have decided to integrate this into my cats feed ( i have four. Three eat mixed feed and one is on Applaws hypoallergenic). As doing the maths, it seems it is the same price as Felix AGAIL/Whiskas BnC that they currently eat; as they are fusspots and like this best. After reading up a bit more on the contents of the SM brands though, i feel they need a bit of better quality if it's working out the same price, why not. I am currently looking on Zooplus, but wondered if anywhere else cheaper. Also do they not do a pack of mixed flavours, or is it a case of trying out every flavour to see which they like best? I have just noticed they do savers packs and cans are cheaper!
Many thanks

I have decided to go with the saver pack of Bozita tins, fingers crossed. I will order some more in a different flavour if they go down well, and i got £1.10 off in some sort of coupon, aswell as free delivery plus Quidco. So not bad at all!GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £47.03 app/150 May /150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. The tins are much better value all round....no filler ingredients and less likely to cause upset tums which some of the tetra packs are prone to do.
If they like the Bozita tins, then Animonda Carny is a similar product but comes in 800g tins making it even better value.0 -
Thanks very much for the info PP. I am sure it was reading a reply of yours that prompted me on to look into these. They just seem to be either hardly touching Whiskas or Felix (probably bored of it) or one cat eats his and then moves on to eat the others food, so obviously not satisfied.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £47.03 app/150 May /150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. thanks for the info just before christmas started trying my cats on animonda carny and they loved it, been slowly switching them over from whiskas (the only food until now my older cat would touch until this i had tried every brand in the supermarkets and local pet store)
have just had 3 dozen tetra packs of bozita delivered and they seem to love it just as much, was just wondering is there any reason why they are more prone to upset stomaches with the tetra than tins? was thinking the tetra packs would be better since they dont eat much in one sitting and cat food is smelly in the fridge :P0 -
I am not certain what the issue is with the Tetrapacks, but have heard tummy upsets mentioned many times from people using them. I think it is the filling ingredients of either jelly or more so gravy which cause gas and upset. Also.....although the chunks themselves are something like 80%meat, once the jelly/gravy is taken into account, the pack is probably only 50% meat...whereas the tins are 97% meat (approx figures! )
I never had an issue storing a tin overnight in the fridge to be fed again the next day. I add a generous amount of boiled water to the cold tin and mush it all up so it makes a tasty (to the cats) mush.0 -

Same as paddypaws, I have never had a problem with cat food smelling in the fridge.
I put the tin in a plastic lidded storage box with one of these types of plastic lid on http://www.monsterpetsupplies.co.uk/p-21047-can-covers-for-400g-cans-3pack.aspx?utm_source=google&utm_medium=shopping&utm_campaign=google-shopping&gclid=CIjnuuPh_LUCFfLLtAodSn8AKA (not recommending that particular site, just using it for illustration):heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. I am now four cans from the end of the twenty four pack, and it's been a bit trial and error. The male cat that likes to nick everyone else's food aswell as his own, likes the Bozita; but the two females don't. They prefer Felix, Whiskas or Sheba. I ended up having to buy the Sheba on offer in the SM. So, i'm wondering now if it is worth ordering any more, but in a different flavour, or trying a different brand :undecided. I'm leaning towards having a go at the trial pack Animonda carny; as at least there are a few different flavours to try of that.
Why are cats such fusspots:D?GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £47.03 app/150 May /150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. One person vegan household with occasional visitors)Forever learning the art of frugality0 -
A friendly member of another pet forum board gave me tons of cat food for free. It was butchers tins all flavours, Botiza all flavours Tetra packs and also the Chicken tins. Also Smilla tins as well. She loved the chicken botiza tetra packs but not the tins (wouldn't touch them) she wouldn't touch the Smilla either or butchers. Not a tin type of cat I suppose.
I gave her the shrimp flavour tetra pack and she vomited everywhere. She was fine with everything other flavour but wasnt keen on them. Things like Reindeer, Elk and Salmon. I think just going to order the tetra pack chicken as its much better than whiskers/felix.
Is Animonda carny similar to texture of botiza tins. Think she likes a bit of gravy/jelly.
Loves Applaws wet but just cant stretch to it.0 -
The AC tins haven't come yet but will let you know when they do. Mine prefer sachets, but not gravy ones, that's why they like Bite n Chew and AGAIL because they are chunks of "meat". I think i wil persevere then and maybe try the tetra packs, if they don't like AC ( although i have bought the tins in that, there are pouches too). I also tried the chicken Bozita, as i thought the other flavours might be too rich. Just disheartening when you want what is best for them and they turn their noses up at it :-D. I've also tried Applaws sachets on my cat that has to have hypoallergenic and he won't touch it, only Applaws biscuits. I think he's vegetarian though, as every meat i have tried including chicken, mince and fish and most wet cat food he has refused. I suppose it's all trial and error.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £47.03 app/150 May /150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. It is the same texture, but it seemed to have better results than the Bozita (might be the change of flavour maybe). Two out of three cats ate it, and that included one female who wouldn't touch the Bozita. We'll see how long it lasts though!
