Apologies if this is in the wrong section.
Around 8 weeks ago I sent a letter based on the guide on this site for reclaiming expenses for work clothing with company logos on them for the past 4 years.
Sent the letter off, around 3 weeks later I got a letter back asking for confirmation of my current employer, national insurance number and so on which I promptly sent off.
So now as said its around 8 weeks and I was expecting to have heard something by now.
Anyone else had to wait a long time for anything back regarding this sort of claim?
Thanks.

They are inundated with claims for everything at the moment,
Its a case of just waiting.
You wont be taking a world cruise on the cheque they send you, it will be approximately not much over £30make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
I sent a letter for my uniform tax direct to the Tax Office and within 3 weeks I received a tax code change notice and a cheque for £190. I would chase up if I were you.0

That amount would not have been for washing your uniform
You must have also had a refund for something else
It's not a uniform tax anyway, it is an tax allowance for wahsing your own uniform.
This year the allowance is THE TAX on £60 which is £12.
It would have been around £10 last year
less the year before and less the year before that.
You would only get 3 years, because this year is not over yet. You tax code will be changed to accommodate this year.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Yep you are right it was for laundering uniform, claiming for tights and shoes and union subscriptions as I am a nurse. I'm not sure whether they backdated it for 4 or 6 years and I got a refund cheque around September time last year of £190 and they also sent a new tax code for the remainder of this tax year.0
