Options
Just trying to get ideas for a fun packed day out/weekend?

Seen the ferry daytrip with car to M&D's and wondered whether anyone else has done this and thought it a fun trip?

I haven't, but some of the local kids here have on a school trip, (day trip) and even with them having youth on their side, they said it knocked their lights out, it was such a long day.

A coach load of us from work did it a few years ago with our kids.

Desperately long day and not a whole lot of 'fun' overall.

It's not a great theme park in all honesty. If you've been once, you've been enough. The food and drinks are what you would expect from a theme park, over priced and a bit blah!

But the kiddies will probably enjoy it.

It is approx 6hour journey to get there and the same again to get home so the best part of your day trip is spent travelling. You are probably best going over and staying in glasgow for a few days or even overnight - M&D's isn't far outside the city and there are regular buses to it from Buchanan bus station.

We did it as a day trip too - long day but kids enjoyed the whole ferry, bus experience. They loved it as a theme park and there was an amazonia jungley bit to visit too. I wouldnt rush back but kids loved it.
