Early discharge - never knew that!

Just rambling but the OR told me today that as long as your affairs are in order and your paperwork is sorted (the paperwork they have to fill out that is), that's what makes you eligible for early discharge.
Unfortunately, he said that his office is dealing with a backlog of cases so it might not be the case for me and to work on the full 12 month assumption.
Dunno why but I always thought there was more to it than that, how you got an early discharge! Nice to know though.
Oh and another thing I couldn't believe is that already in my area, 548 have gone BR in 2007. Wow. You never think it do you?!

It may seem like it to some, but 'Early Discharge' does not happen to reward those who have 'been good', and the full 12 months is not to punish those who have 'been bad'.
The main deciding factors for those who are not going to receive a BRU/BRO is:
1) How complicated and time consuming your case is for the OR to deal with.
2) And in a related way, how busy the OR's office is.
You just have to sit, and wait, and hope. But not expect.

People/businesses failing to cooperate with the OR, I think.
For example, not attending the OR interview. Or deliberately withholding records.
I suppose if the case can still be dealt with quickly, then this might happen.
But I wouldn't like to guess what the term of BRU.BRO they might get.
Just a guess, but hopefully an educated one.

I think I get most of the marks for that question.

The thing is grounds for a BRO are not attending upon the OR. They are also grounds for suspension of automatic discharge yet some get an early discharge.
