Hello.
I have dual oil and open fire heating. I want to change to gas but would like to know roughly how much it would cost (3 bed semi). Has anyone changed recently in the Glengormley area and can they recommend a good plumber please.
Thanks

Hi, I'm in Antrim in a 3bed end of terrace. I had oil heating, no fire or back boiler and required 1 radiator. I changed in August for £680 plus had £1800 toasty homes grant through Firmus. Basically the same price as a fill of oil. Its the best thing I've ever done, having a 'pay as you go' meter means I have no more worries about bills.
Hope this gives you some idea, work was completed in a day and I used a firm from Newtownabbey. I can Pm you his details if you like.0 -

We priced it around 5 years ago and again last year and both times the conversion for our 3 bed semi was £2000 regardless of what discounts were available.0

I changed in June last year, cost was £1800, this was after a boiler scrappage grant from Phoenix. Ours is a 5bedroom terrace so a lot of radiators that needed a higher outpost boiler.TOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T0

Can you pm me his details
Thanks0 -
Remember that you don't have to use a phoenix-approved plumber for the install. You will be offered a list of approved installers when phoenix talk about your install and be offered some form of cashback, but most of the time these companies inflate their prices in the first place to compensate.0

My cousin has just had a quote for shore road area belfast and it was for changing from oil to gas the quote was £2200 and she might be entitled to a grant of £1200 so would only have to pay £1000 herselfOn the countdown mortgage will be paid off this year if I keep paying bit extra fingers crossed fully paid out by July :j0

I was quoted £2200 too. Scrappage allowance could be £1k and a further £200 from Phoenix which would mean I may get it all done for £1k which doesn't seem too bad tbh.0
