Reply From Experian in regards to Arrows entry :-

Dear Mr Shearing

*Arrow Global Ltd Account started 04/12/07

----

I have received a reply to the query we raised on your behalf.

Arrow Global Ltd confirms they cannot amend/delete the entry at this time. They have asked that you contact Arrow Global directly either by writing in with dispute in order to discuss the matter further.

Once you have completed this action Arrow Global will invoke an investigation into the dispute by requesting further information from the originating creditor. Arrow Global will send any required amendments to the Credit Reference Agencies if necessary upon completion of said investigation.

I cannot change this information without their authorisation.

Their contact details are:

Arrow Global Ltd,
Belvedere,
12 Booth Street,
Manchester,
M2 4AW

Tel: 0800 130 0169
Fax: 0845 459 4817

You may want to provide documents to the company directly to support your comments as this can help them to resolve your dispute.

Please be assured that should the company send us any further instructions regarding this matter, we will act upon them accordingly.

I am deleting the following Notice of Dispute from this information:

"The consumer has disputed the accuracy of this entry and we have therefore asked the provider to investigate it. Given that this data is disputed, please take care if making an assessment of any kind that may include this data."

This will be removed within the next seven days.

If you would like there to continue to be a dispute statement on this information, I can add the statement below.

"The consumer has disputed the accuracy of this entry. Given that this data is disputed, please take care if making an assessment of any kind that may include this data."

Please let me know by return if you would like this statement to be added to your report, where it will then remain until we receive further instruction from you. Alternatively, you may wish to add your own statement to this entry on your report.

If you would like to add a 'Notice of Correction' to your credit report, please let us know, in writing, the exact wording you would like to use. We cannot add a statement that is longer than 200 words or one we think is defamatory, frivolous, scandalous or unsuitable for publication for some other reason.

I have contacted arrow and they're doing an investigation and the FOS.

Shouldn't it be experians issue also though if they've displayed a default with a DOB which does not tie up with my DOB ?

A court can order a data controller (Experian) to remove data if it's inaccurate, but the Data Protection Act doesn't say anything about them having to remove it at the request of the data subject as far as I can see.

That is expected with Experian.

What is happening with the FOS?

Yes, it should be.

They should never have matched the Arrow account against your report in the first place.

I presume Experian customer service conveniently forgot to address that glaring mistake by them?

See this thread where a similar default was removed --> https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/58675389#Comment_58675389

ExeCute - if you'd like to send further details across ( Experian reference number, name and address -> customerrelations@uk.experian.com) we'll take a look at both issues for you. Sounds like the MBNA entry should be flagged 'Debt sold to CAIS member', which would exempt it from credit checks.

Thanks
