A nightmare!!

prioritize patients needs and given me a sound knowledge of many general . I am knowledgeable with all forms of ventilation and monitoring, ECG recognition and the Advanced Life Support and Advanced Paediatric Support algorithms.
I have completed many ED related courses which have all been highly beneficial in order to make me a more effective part of the team and have recently undertook the Trauma Nursing Core Course. I am an Advanced Life Support provider and instructor, I have undertaken the Generic Instructorsfrequently teach adult and paediatric life support within the Trust to both nurses and medical staff. The skills teaching role and point of contact for nurses and medical professionals is an vital role as a sister in such a thriving developing environment. I understand peoples learning needs and find that I am approachable so people question me to ask for further teaching where necessary.
I feel that my previous teaching experience would benefit others within the team. The departments needs are changeable and dynamic and my previous experience has taught me to prioritise. I am confident in mentoring and working autonomously or in a team in order to maximise patient wellbeing.
Within my degree modules, I wrote a literature review on Family Witnessed resuscitation as this is a subject I feel passionate about and this was published in the Emergency Nurse journal. The Leadership module I have undertaken has been beneficial in order to give guidance on changing practice and using leadership skills in order to create a vision. This module involved a great deal of major incident management and exercises. I also undertook research regarding therapeutic hypothermia post cardiac arrest and have been able to share this within the department to increase our knowledge base.
Due to the evolving needs within nursing it is imperative to be able to prioritize efficiently and work quickly, make clinical judgments and begin treatment to improve patient care and outcome. I have gained the knowledge and skill to 'know' when a patient is deteriorating.
I believe I am a good and understanding communicator. I consider myself to be a credible member of the nursing team and am understanding to others needs, always willing to offer any advice or guidance. I am aware of government and hospital targets and policies and actively strive to maintain these whilst maintaining quality care to patients and a safe and professional environment for staff.
I am conscientious, efficient, focused, ambitious and a very fast learner and I feel that I would benefit from building upon my skills and have many qualities that would be beneficial to the team. I work well under pressure and thrive in busy and stressful environments.
